United Brush Depleted Hessle Aside At Broadgates

Mill Lane United returned with the spoils after beating the half-term depleted side of Hessle Town Girls.

Hessle battled well throughout the game but rolling substitutions and subsequent variation in play by Mill Lane took its toll on them. Connie Forward and Isobel Gillyon took two well deserved goals after excellent runs by Rebecca Long who dominated the midfield.

Hessle quickly responded with a goal of their own just before half time threatening to haul Mill Lane back. In the second half further goals from Forward after great passing by Hope Barratt and a scrambled last minute effort from Chloe Davison took the tally to four.

Once again Mill Lane had to be grateful for the stalwart defence play of Millie Gray and Ellie McMillan (captain) and the substitute defence of Isabelle Dodds and Chloe Hakeney who came out of goal for the second half to be replaced by Alex Clark who both had made some excellent saves throughout the match.

This saturday Mill Lane United are again at home as they host Sproatley Juniors FC who are placed third in the East Riding Girls Football League.

Final Score Mill Lane United 4 Hessle Town Girls 1 | Player of the match – Connie Forward
