“Today I am very pleased to announce that The Beverley Lions have come forward with £2,000 so the event can go ahead as planned.”

  1. Im sorry not to be able to support this event. To me it’s a thinly disguised military recruiting event glorifying militarism. I cant support something which will encourage youngsters to join up when our young people are being killed in pointless wars over resources. We have to change our whole way of thinking to become more sustainable so that we dont go to war alongside the States for oil and other resources. I am surprised at the Lions and others for sponsoring it.
