Beverley Grammar School retained the bragging rights over Longcroft School and Performing Arts College at Beaver Park as they retained their crown in the schools rugby competition.
Phil Rann of Beverley RUFC said;
“There was some very good talent out there today and with some promising young rugby players on both sides.”
“In September we will be looking to recruit more young players from the local schools.”
“Next year our aim is to make more of an event of the competition and encourage even more people down to watch the games and support their mates.”
The competition has been around since 1960, it was stopped for a period though reinstated some 10 years ago giving local players to chance to earn some pride for their school on the playing field.
