A single goal from Mike Martin was enough to secure all three points and a victory for Hodgsons FC as they beat Molescroft Rangers 1 – 0 at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
In a scrappy East Riding County League game there were few chances for either side it was the Tanners who came closest to breaking the deadlock, hitting the bar earl in the second half.
With both sides pressing Rangers started to find space but lacked the killer instinct in front of goal.
The introduction of Mike Martin by Hodgsons FC boss changed the game, with just 10 minutes left to play super sub Martin burst through to score the decisive goal.
