Athletics returned to the Beverley Westwood as the Champagne League held a 3.7 mile race on the historic pastures.
In total 145 runners took part in the race which was won by Stuart Carmichael. As you would expect Beverley Athletic Club were well represented in the race with Carla Stansfield doing the town proud leading the ladies home.
The ever reliable James Pearson, back from his role as the pace maker for Hull Marathon was the first man back for Beverley Athletic Club finishing second overall.
Athletes will return to Champagne League action in two weeks when they will tackle anoterh 3.7m course this time in Lockington.
