The Humber Colts have kept their slim hopes of a title a alive with a fine 3 – 0 win over league leaders AFC George.
The Colts went into the game knowing nothing less than three points would be enough and boy did they deliver. Scorers for the Humber Colts were, Mike Claxton, Ben Daniels and a wonder free kick from Mark Richardson.
AFC George enjoyed their fair share of pressure though unlike the Colts they were unable to find the net. Frustration soon kicked in and AFC George turned to a less then savoury style of game as they hacked and kicked out at the Colts players.
One flash point in the match saw Jordan Dexter go head to head with an opposing player much to the amusement of the Colts touchline.
The Humber Colts are now just two points behind the leaders in third with just one game left, AFC Star occupy second spot in the Wyke League Division 2 and have a game in hand on both their title rivals.
