Beverley ARLC and Hodgsons FC played their annual fund raiser at the Beverley Leisure Centre this weekend.
This year it was the Blue and Golds who won as they beat the Tanners on a day that left Ben Daniels with a split lip.
Ben who plays football for Hodgsons FC was their stand out rugby player last season and was ‘well’ up for Sunday’s match, when asked about how he split his lip he said;
“ I think it was Steve Grantham who caught me but when you put it on the web site say it was someone bigger or I will get some right stick, I do not think I will ever play again!”
The event was very well attended and raised £1000 in total that will be used by the teams and help fund the running costs of the clubs.
