Lucas Meagor of Beverley Athletic Club took advantage of the Bank Holiday to take part in the Tees Barrage 10k last Monday.
This popular race follows a surprisingly scenic route between Stockton and Middlesbrough. It starts at the North Barrage and takes in both sides of the River Tees with two bridge crossings. The entire route is on cycle and footpaths.
Despite tired legs from running the North Lincolnshire Half-Marathon the previous day Meagor finished in a commendable 43:42.
There were 370 finishers and the race was won by Marc Scott of Richmond and Zetland Harriers in 32:38.
