5..4..3..2..1..We have lift off! The Friends of St Mary’s Primary School have today launched Operation i-Pad, their most ambitious mission to date.
With a target to raise enough money to buy enough i-Pads for the whole school, there is no stopping this group of hard-working mums and dads.
The Friends unveiled a specially designed board with an “i-Pad-ometer” on it so that the children can see their progress towards the purchase of each new i-Pad.
Children at St Mary’s enjoy participating in a fantastic range of activities organised by the Friends, including a Magic Show, Christmas and Summer Fair, Discos and much more.
Parents are very supportive of the Friends and over the past few years, have helped them raise money to buy items which all the children benefit from, such as a sound system, adventure trails and new staging.
Operation i-Pad has already allowed for the purchase of sixteen i-Pads and the next sixteen are eagerly awaited!
For their wishes to come true, the Friends will be busy fundraising over the coming months and we wish them all the best with this mission.
