A batting master class by Mathew Mudd gave Beverley Town Cricket Club victory on Tuesday night in the Newland League at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Batting first the visitors, Hull CC set Beverley a target of 123 to win. Things started badly for Beverley in their innings as they lost opener Mike Cooke first ball.
Mudd on the other had was on fire for from the start, smashing the ball all round the Norwood Recreation Ground as racked up 72 runs.
Other scorers on the night included Alan Acklam, 12 and Alex Nightingale chipped in with 25.
The night however belonged to Mathew Mudd and it was he sealed the win the thumping boundary to the delight of his team mates.
