On Sunday a large number of people took part in the Beverley 2K fun run that was held at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
The event which is organised by Beverley Athletic Club and sponsored by B&A Scaffolding saw the young and old participate in a great community event.
Presenters and staff from local radio station KCFM joined the likes of Bertie the Beaver and Hull City’s mascot Roary The Lion and completed the run.

Panning’s a weird one. Nice pics but a lot of moving parts. Great efforts but I think you need to find some rallying etc to get this right!
the idea is too have lots of moving parts 🙂
Hmm. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder then. Blurred legs and arms and a steady torso don’t do it for me I’m afraid. Still, better than what I can do so not knocking.
i know though gets dead boring freezing everything – trying to find an interview I read about a guy who shoots runners like this –
Understand – the illusion of speed is really good. You need to get in a really fast car, so you can use a faster shutter speed as you go past the runner, so you are moving faster than the athlete. Or something like that ?!?!?!?
you cant do anything about the up and down motion – think about it – you should see this blokes cricket shots scott, – i still can not find the link!
Might try some this weekend then with the cricket. I know what you mean, but to really capture the illusion of speed you need to get the whole subject matter stationary. I am a sporting aesthete remember that 🙂
think about it – if the cricket player in on one knee playing a shot, he will be very still so you end up with a circle of motion where the bat is moving. I tried it at the we end and on tuesday and could not get the speed right
More interested in the bowler. The bat moving is not what I want.
