The Barn House in Walkington has this week been granted a full wedding license by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, enabling the five star guest house and spa to give couples and guests the perfect setting for their special day.
Owner, Niki Clappison says:
“ERYC does not grant wedding licences on a regular basis and quite rightly it comes with an arduous application process and several restrictions.”
“However, I am absolutely delighted to have received a wedding license to be able to perform the nuptials here.”
“We have previously held a wedding license but a long planning application has meant that for over a year now couples have been disappointed that they cannot hold the ceremony here too.”
“Now I am delighted to announce that the Barn House can provide the complete package including the civil marriage ceremony.”
“Under the restrictions we are only able to hold twelve weddings per year and as such, rather than turn out the same day for each couple, it is very important for us to stand out by providing our clients with something completely different and we have created a variety of stylish themed weddings which includes our own unique take on the traditional British wedding, an authentic English Country wedding day and our piece de resistance – a flamboyant Latino style celebration which includes a tapas wedding menu and a more much more relaxed and informal day which is something couples are looking for now.”
As a guest house and spa, the Barn House regularly provides the whole package from pamper weekends for the hen party, the pre-wedding stay over, wedding day and wedding night, all in one secluded and romantic location.
