Well almost, you can tell I always wanted to write for a tabloid, Ray and Marie Baker’s herd actually went from three to five in just over a week with two new arrivals, all five are female. As it’s just five minutes walk from Beverley we took up our special invite to go see the young Alpaca for HU17.
Janet and I popped down on a very sunny Friday afternoon and chatted with Maria about her newest “pets”. She told us the adults will be shorn soon and we plan to go back for a Summer shoot and see how the Alpaca are doing in a month or so.
Alpaca (Vicugna Pacos) a domesticated species of South American camelid. They resemble a small llama in appearance and they are kept in herds that graze on the level heights of the Andes of southern Peru, northern Bolivia, Ecuador, and northern Chile.
