Beverley Racecourse added a touch of fun to their meeting holding a Jubilee Donkey Derby.
With a large crowd at the course professional jockeys, to the amusement of those watching held a short race past the grandstand.
Nearly all the donkeys had other ideas, dumping their jockeys before playing a game of cat and mouse as the crowds roared with laughter.
It was a great way to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and hopefully Beverley Racecourse will repeat the Donkey Derby at future events.
