Braves Push Unbeaten Hull All The Way

The Beverley Braves fronted up to a previously unbeaten West Hull and were unlucky not to have come away with the spoils after a really good performance.

The young Braves showed what they are all about with six different try scorers on the night after some strong running and deft handling gave.

Wests all sorts of trouble with Owen Miller, Bryan Usher, Tom Nuttall, Charlie Gay, Alexei Rawlings and Isaac Merryweather all getting on the score sheet while Shamus Blades and Lewis Bradley went close on a couple of occasions.

Matty Shirley and Ellis Gaden charged up field and made good yards all game and Alex Nuttall did one blistering run in the second half which scattered numerous defenders.

Despite shining with the ball it was the defense just prior to the break which was most pleasing; the Braves kept out Wests for three full sets with some cracking tackles in a special team effort.

Top tackler went to the improving Adam Greenwood whist Bryan Usher bossed the team superbly from acting half and earned himself the man of the match award.

Coach Craig Collins said ‘ I haven’t been this happy since Take That got back together’
