Braves Under Eights Beat Skirlaugh

In a very open game game that was hard to call at half time, Beverley Braves went on to win 10 – 6.

The first half saw tries being traded between the Braves and Skirlaugh Bulls. Louix Gorman opened the scoring with a powerful drive going over in the corner. Skirlaugh crossed to level the score on their next possession before William Wilson open his acount with a barnstorming run.

Excellent defence from Garad Goforth, Timmy Heng and Oliver Egen kept Skirlaugh out and a quick brace of tries by Louix Gorman kept the Braves in front. Skirlaugh pulled a try back before William Parkinson scored his first try for the Braves.

Skirlaugh crossed once more before the interval to make it 5 – 4 in the Braves favour at the break.

The second half saw the Braves defence come out on top with William Wilson putting in a total of 18 tackles. Skirlaugh managed to cross the braves line twice in the second half, either side of a two tries each from Louix Gorman and William Wilson.

To cap off an excellent team effort by the Braves, Garad Goforth broke a couple of Skilaugh tackles and looked set to score but was brough down just short of the line.

The resultant play the ball was fed to Timmy Heng who passed to Louix Gorman who score his sixth and the Braves tenth try.

William Wislon with his 18 tackles and hat trick was awarded man of the match.
