As part of their drive to invest in local talent throughout 2012, Eurofit Direct have invested a substantial donation towards up and coming motorbike racer Jordan Rushby.
Beverley based DIY and fittings supplier Euro-Fit Systems Ltd chose 14yr old Beverley born Jordan as their sponsor after hearing he finished 2nd in the Aprilia Formula 125cc Darley Moor UK Championship in his first season, which led to him competing on various race tracks across the UK.
Jordan’s 2012 season sees him take on 25 races this season, competing in 4 national competitions against the best young riders in his class.
Eurofit Direct is the online arm of Euro-Fit Systems, who specialise in kitchen and office components with a warehouse based on Barmston Road, Beverley.
Marketing Manager Gareth Jones had this to say about the deal:
“We decided at the start of the year that we would look to sponsor 1 or 2 young individual sports stars from the Beverley area, and try to help them forge a career whilst they are young, as well as giving the opportunity to get the Eurofit Direct name across the country, and I first heard about Jordan on the HU17 website.”
“The great part of deal with Jordan for us was the branding and colouring of his bike with the Eurofit green colours, which will get photographed at every race he competes in, whilst at the same time giving Jordan a good looking branded bike like his idols in the superbike competitions.”
Jordan’s career is going from strength to strength, with him competing at Donington Park for the first time last weekend, and in the 5 races in his category he got 3 x 1st places, 1 x 2nd place, and 1 x 3rd place finish, whilst setting 2 fastest laps in the process.
Jordan has recently launched a new website to follow his process throughout the 2012 season, with regular race reports, updates and photos as he competes in various competitions across the country.
Massive thanks to Eurofit for their sponsorship for the 2012 season, local company supporting local lad. Many thanks
