Three Arrested After Drugs Seized On Butcher Row

Humberside Police executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant at an address on Butcher Row, Beverley on Saturday 09 June 2012 at around 1700hrs.

Officers from Beverley Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) along with Special Constables, the Operations Support Section (OSS) and a drugs dog, executed the warrant and seized a number of drugs believed to be class B drugs.

Two Beverley men aged 27 and 23 years-old were arrested inside the property for possession of drugs, and a further Beverley man aged 23 was arrested inside the property for the same offence.

All three have been released on police bail until a date at the end of July 2012.

Beverley Special Constable Abigail Wilson said: “The warrant was obtained following weeks of gathering intelligence.

“The results obtained from the execution of the warrant are very pleasing and show the positive impact officers can make.

“Humberside police will not tolerate drug misuse and will take action to deal with any people involved in this activity.

“I would like to further encourage members of the public to report any suspicious or drug dealing activity.”
