As Europe’s elite Football nations compete in Poland & Ukraine at Euro 2012, an exciting and progressive new project for young local, footballing talent has been launched in this region.
Affiliated to the East Riding County F.A. Capital Crusaders F.C. is a new club with Charter Standard Status being built on the principles of the Football Associations Long Term Player Development model [Four Corners] to develop the Technical, Physical, Psychological and Social skills of young players.
Head Coach, Roger Cutsforth, commented;
“We’ve had a fantastic response from interested players/parents to what we are creating here and a number of players are already signed up for next season but we are looking for more. Young players require a development process to nurture their talent, technical development obviously, but also the player’s overall psychological, physical and social welfare are vital. So if you want your child to develop their footballing ability in a positive, friendly and supportive environment then we would love to hear from you. Ultimately, it’s about players getting together with their mates to have fun and learn/develop whilst they’re at it.”
Capital Crusaders FC will have wonderful facilities at their disposal too, courtesy of a £50,000 Sports England Inspired Facilities Fund grant awarded to the Walkington Playing Fields Association, providing a floodlit multi use games/coaching area and excellent changing, shower and toilet facilities.
Initially the Club is looking for young footballing talent at the U14 and U12 age groups to compete in the Hull Boys Sunday Football League for next season, but will be looking to widen its participation to all age groups in due course.
