The New Inn in Leven is hosting the 2nd Leven Real Ale Festival on 6th & 7th July 2012.
Set within Leven’s historic New Inn pub, the festival will showcase some of Yorkshire’s finest real ales and ciders as well as a hog roast and live entertainment.
The festival is in aid of Leven Primary school, so we are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
The festival gets under way on Friday 6th July with an exclusive all-ticket event, with guests having an opportunity to sample world-class ales from local producers, including Great Newsome Brewery, Wold Top, Abbeydale Brewery & York Brewery.
£1 from every ticket sold goes to our chosen charity. Entertainment over the weekend comes from some of the regions finest acts including The Harri Watts Band, The Raving Maes, Jody McKenna and Laura Prescott.
The festival’s family atmosphere continues throughout Saturday with family games, more live music, home made food and the chance to sample more great cask ales and cider.
The event is being sponsored by Marstons Brewery and supported by East Yorkshire-based Great Newsome Brewery, The New Inn Leven and Harper Creative.
Festival organiser James Harper said:
“The festival is born from the success of the first ever real ale festival last year where over 600 people attended over the two days. The feedback was tremendous and we think this one is going to be even bigger.”
“We are grateful to our sponsors and supporters for helping us put together a fantastic selection of ales and ciders.”
“The weekend will have something for everyone, whether you’re a real ale lover or just want to get away to the countryside and enjoy a great pint and fine food in the fantastic surroundings of a traditional Yorkshire pub.”
