Beerhouse Launches Motorhome Rental Service

The surge in popularity for ‘staycations’, where people holiday in the UK instead of abroad, has resulted in Beerhouse Self Drive Hire introducing a new motorhome rental service to satisfy demand. The company, based on Sutton Fields Industrial Estate in Hull, introduced the service several months ago and now has three brand new motorhomes available for hire.

The motorhomes available include three Swift Escapes (a five berth and two six berths). James Cuff, Director of Beerhouse Self Drive Hire, comments:

“We decided to launch our motorhome service after receiving a high volume of requests from customers.”

“We are finding that more and more people are opting to holiday in the UK to save money in the current economic climate rather than taking expensive trips abroad.”

“It’s much more cost effective for families to take long weekend or bank holiday trips throughout the year rather than a two week trip to Europe or beyond.

“There has been a lot of interest in our motorhome service to date and we’ve received many enquiries from people already planning their holiday for next year. We’ve also noticed that people are hiring our motorhomes so they can ‘try before they buy’ their own, which is a great idea to help make up your mind before investing in one.”

The motorhomes include a range of crockery, cutlery and utensils and bedding sets are available to hire separately. In order to hire out a motorhome, the driver must be aged between 25-70 years and have held a full British driving license for at least two years.

The motorhomes are available to hire from just £299 for the weekend (increasing during peak season) and the price includes fully comprehensive insurance, breakdown cover and a bottle of gas.

For those who have never driven a motorhome, James offers some advice:

“Some people can be put-off renting a motorhome because they are nervous about driving them, but they really are quite easy to drive due to the high driving position and well-placed mirrors.”

“Also, if you do decide to rent a motorhome it’s a good idea to book your campsite pitch in advance as it’s actually forbidden to park them up on the roadside overnight. Whilst holidays in the UK are growing in popularity, the beauty of a motorhome is that they provide home from home comfort anywhere, including abroad if you want to venture further afield.”

Beerhouse Self Drive Hire was established in 2004 and its services include daily spot hire rentals, long and short term flexible rentals and contract hire. The company also specialises in corporate vehicle hire and currently runs in excess of 300 vehicles covering cars, people carriers, minibuses and vans. When required, Beerhouse can source and rent bespoke vehicles to suit project work as well as providing chauffeur services.
