Beverley Get Winning Draw Against Stamford Bridge

Beverley Town Cricket Club shared the spoils as they got a winning draw against Stamford Bridge CC in the York and District Senior Cricket League.

At an overcast Norwood Recreation Ground and batting first Stamford Bridge CC made 181 runs, Phil Hill top scoring for the visitors with an unbeaten 80 off just 94 balls. Matthew Mudd was the pick of the Beverley bowlers taking 4 wickets for just 46 runs.

In reply, Beverley scored 170, Andrew Hamson leading the way in the middle of order as he scored an unbeaten 63. Top order batsman Faisal Abid, Peter Groves, John Vodden and Anthony Spence all failed to reach double figures.

Stamford Bridge CC were unable to bowl Beverley out ensuring the home side got something from the game.
