Beverley Town Cricket Club’s 4ths lost to league leaders Humbleton at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
The visitors were asked to bat first and struggled to 23 for 3 and 41 for 4 but made an impressive recovery to post 196 for 7.
Beverley fielded their youngest bowling attack yet and Brad Graham (3 for 22) was the best bowler on show. Charlie Bough took his first wicket in senior cricket and Matty Saint also took a wicket. There were two run outs from Bough and Simpson to complete the wicket-taking.
Beverley got off to a poor start with a needless run out and no batsman really got going until Saint (22) with his best innings for the club scored useful runs to give Beverley one batting point as they subsided to 101 all out.
