A new sign on the front Beverley Memorial Hall has caused a few eyebrows to raise among some of the locals.
Cllr David Elvidge has received a few calls from people who have pointed out the word ‘War’ has been removed from the new sign that has been erected and is currently looking into the issue.
The Beverley War Memorial Hall was officially opened on the 10th September 1959 in memory of those who fell in World War II.
Why the name has been changed on the front of building remains a mystery, but it is clearly not sitting comfortably with some members of the community.
