Beverley Town Football Club claimed a convincing 4 – 1 win over Holme Rovers at Longcroft School as they continue their build up to the Humber Premier League.
Goals from Luke Thompson, James Whittingham, Mathew Dixon and James Waltham helped town ease past Rovers who managed to get on the score sheet with a late consolation goal in the dying moments of the game.

“This was a solid performance all round; the team is really starting to shape and the effort shown by the players is superb.”
“The new season is just two weeks away, and we are hoping to have one more friendly, the guys are training hard, and we are well on course in terms of our physical condition.”
Town dominated the first half controlling the pace and the ball, in the second half gaffer David Ricardo changed the formation giving his side strict instruction to keep the ball.
Ross added;
“The fitness levels of the team are right up there, the coaching team and very pleased with how the players are responding in training and taking onboard the new tactics.”
