Honours Even As Town Draw With United In Humber Prem

Beverley Town FC shared the points after a scoreless draw with North Ferriby United in the Humber premier League.

Town are the only unbeaten side left in the Humber Premier League though gaffer Dave Ricardo is keen to see his side convert their draws into wins.

This match was another tough test for the new look Town side, and they could have come away with all three points had they taken the chances they created.

After the game Dave told HU17.net;

“I was pleased with the way the team adapted to a different formation and change of tactics to counter against a very well organised and talented side.

“We had chances to win the game, but I was happy with the point. The well-earned point came at a price however, as Jon Ricardo picked up a nasty groin strain.”

“I am more than hopeful of getting three points on Wednesday night.”

Beverley should feel confident going into the game against St Andrews at Bishop Burton College, on paper this should be three easy points for Town, but you don’t win matches on paper.

Victory would move Town to within a point of league leaders Pocklington Town, which would set up an interesting encounter next weekend when the sides meet.
