Beavers Host Morpeth In First Home Game Of New Season

Beverley RUFC open their home campaign for this season with the visit of Morpeth to Beaver Park on Saturday (kick-off 3 p.m.).

Head Coach Anthony Posa will be hoping to build on last week’s performance at Old Crossleyans.

Although the Beavers recorded a resounding victory by 45 points to 15, the match was a lot tighter than the final scoreline suggests and it was only in the final 20 minutes that Beverley clicked into their best form.

That said, the Beavers were always in command and Crocs were obviously of the opinion that they were playing a cup final!!

New flanker “Dutch” Holland limped off after only 3 minutes with what looked like ligament damage and will miss this Saturday’s game as will Johnny Stephenson that is unavailable to face his old club due to work commitments.

Morpeth themselves recorded a valuable win last weekend against Malton by 23 points to 6 and are sure to prove to be strong opposition.

The Match is sponsored by The Cubicle Centre Ltd
