Hodgsons FC Reserves were beaten 3 – 1 at the Beverley Leisure Centre by Easington United in the East Riding County League.
Stuart Campbell, Karl Hodgsons and Gavin Thurkettle all scored for the visitors as the Tanners second team failed in the September sunshine to get their new season off to a winning start.
The Tanners return to action next weekend in the cup as they host Hornsea Town Reserves at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
