Town Left Frustrated At Norwood

Beverley Town FC came from two goals down to salvage a point and protect their unbeaten record in the Humber Premier League.

The match, sponsored by Evans Halshaw of Beverley saw the home side go in at half time trailing by two goals at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

In the second half, Beverley played much better scoring two goals late on to level the match and were unlucky not to claim all three points given the number of chances they created.

Manager Dave Ricardo said;

“I was frustrated by the team performance in the first half; the quality and decision making was the worse since we took over.”

“Changes had to be made and to the lad’s credit, we came back through goals from subs Mathew Dixon and Daniel Kingsly Jnr and should have won the game.”

“I’m hoping this was a wake-up call before a big game at home to Pocklington next week. The table shows we’re joint top, but we need to improve to ensure that we stay there.”
