White Mick Steals The Show As The Inter Beaver Revolution Marches On

Inter Beaver played Market Weighton in the cup and dominated from the start with Adam Foster beating the left back and squaring the ball for Mike Martyn to tap home.

The Inter Beaver again went on the attack just before half time when Michael O’connell slipped the ball through to Foster who again beat the full back and smashed the ball across the box into the path of Mike Martyn, who smashed home from 2 yards.

The half time team talk took place and focused on the need to get White Mick his hatrick and to haul off Joe Peiterson, who was having a ‘mare’.

The second half started at a fast pace with O’Connell wiping in a dangerous ball which young Jamie Cording smashed home but the poor lad picked up an injury whilst scoring and had to be replaced by Gar Marshall.

Beaver came on the attack again as foster rounded the keeper and squared for White Mick to grab his hatrick much to the pleasure of the team who then mobbed the striker. The fifth goal was a good finish by Dave Barley who curled it around the keeper. The sixth followed as Adam Nicholson finished well into the bottom corner.

The seventh was finished well by O’Connell who took the ball on the edge of the area and fired a fierce shot into the corner.

Market Weighton nearly got a consolation goal as make shift centre half Foster slipped on the ball allowing a break, but they were foiled by the ever alert goal keeping of Shaun Gibson, who had spent the majority of the second half laid down ‘just chilling’.

Gibson then ventured up for a late corner and shouted ‘keepers’ before missing his header at back post.

Final Score: Market Weighton 0 Inter Beaver 7 | Reported by Adam Foster
