A group of local women have decided to make it their mission to try to change the way that people think about art, believing that art is for everyone and not just a few.
Calling themselves ‘Beverley Creatives’, they are putting on a display of their work in the Beverley Minster from Monday 1st to Sunday 8th October and will be on hand to talk to people about their work. Some of the artists will also be working on pieces so that you can see how they do it.
The group consists of Claire West (painter), Debbie March (glass artist), Val Mager (printmaker), Meg Burkill (painter), Margaret Lawrenson (ceramicist) and Nicky Clacy (papier mache sculptor).
The opening times are Monday to Saturday 10.00am until 4.00pm and Sunday 12noon until 4.00pm.
