Beverley Town FC smashed six past Scarborough Town as they continue to go from strength to strength in the Humber Premier League under the new management regime.
Luke Thompson and Rob Northern both scored twice in the first half as Town stormed into a 4 – 1 lead at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
In the second half substitute Daniel Kingsly Jnr added a fifth before Michael O’connell completed the scoring lobbing the Scarborough Keeper with fine effort.
Town remain in third place in the Humber Premier League but it is only goal difference that separates them from league leaders North Cave.
Manager Dave Ricardo told HU17.net
“I was extremely pleased with the finishing as we have been promising that score line for a few games but not been able to convert the chances.”
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the backroom staff for the work they’re putting in behind the scenes. The coaching staff of Richard Jagger, Ross Cording and Steve Mulligan are putting some great sessions the results of which are showing on match days.””
Stuart Akaster and Rob Scattergood are doing a fantastic job with the admin side of running the first team and Pip Pearson with his hard work over the last few months has helped made us look a first class outfit. Without this support and assistance, the lads and myself would be a lot poorer.”
Beverley Town FC will take a rest from the Humber Premier League next week as their attentions are switched to the East Riding Senior Cup match that will see Chalk Lane visit the Norwood Recreation Ground as the sides meet for the second time this season.
Gaffer Ricardo will be hoping his side can once again find their shooting boots going into the match as favourites to progress through to the next round they will need to be at their best to overcome Chalk Lane.
Final Score : Beverley Town Football Club 6 Scarborough Town 1
