Time For A “Quick” One? Pubs In Rural Broadband Not-Spots Get FREE WiFi

As part of their ‘Connecting Communities’ campaign, wireless Internet Service Provider, Quickline Communications is providing FREE WiFi to ten village pubs in East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire per month.

The Company recognises the importance of the local pub, which is often the hub of village life and a great place for travelling business people and, those working from their rural home to arrange meetings.

The project ‘QuickZONE’ is a high speed broadband service with speeds up to 40Mb, which beams to a receiver on the roof and then to a WiFi device within the bar area. Because this is a wireless broadband service, it can cover the rural parts fibre and cable based ISPs are unable to reach.

Steve Jagger, Managing Director of Quickline says:

“Quickline is delivering this completely free of charge – no catches or hidden contract. As a company we want to support rural life and a high-speed WiFi hotspot brings new opportunities to pubs, as local and passing business people can be encouraged to meet up there. Villagers who work from home can visit the pub to catch up on their emails and search the Internet whilst enjoying a drink or a bite to eat. We will be generating interest via a social media campaign and invite pub landlords or pub-goers to advertise their new, FREE WiFi service in this way.”

“Quickline is connecting 10 pubs per month with no installation cost and no ongoing charges – there really is nothing to lose and absolutely no risk.”

The Company invites interested parties to either email admin@quickline.co.uk, or contact them via Twitter @quicklineuk or Facebook.com/quicklinecomms
