Airlie Bird Attends Braves Presentation Evening

The Beverley Braves under 10s rugby league squad ended the season with their presentations at Hodgsons recently. All the boys received a trophy in recognition of their efforts, presented by special guests.

Alex Starling, a former Braves player who has just signed a full-time professional contract with Hull FC and Airlie Bird, the Hull FC club mascot.

Awards were also presented to those players who have contributed most to the team during the 2012 season, voted for by the players and their parents. In what has been a season of further development for the young players, the awards were: –

Most Improved Player – Dylan English
Player’s player 3 – Lewis Egan
Player’s player 2 – William Wallis
Player’s player – Ethan Rowbotham
Man of Steel – Marcus Walker

The players have a well-earned break from training before picking up on pre season training as the new under 11s, with the new season scheduled to start in March 2013.
