Hodgsons FC came from behind to beat North Ferriby United Reserves 3 – 1 in the Humber Premier League.
On a cold afternoon, the Hodgsons went into this game needing a win and things started badly when skipper Paul Silvester was clattered and limped of with what thought to be damaged knee ligaments with barely five minutes on the clock.
The Tanners day went from bad to worse after they found themselves a goal down inside twenty minutes after conceding a penalty though showed great character to turn the game on its head with two goals from the hit man Adam Foster and one from Danny Earle ensuring Hodgsons FC left Longcroft School with all three points.
The win lifts the Tanners out of the bottom three in the Humber Premeir League table with games in hands over most of the sides fighting it out at the bottom.
Victory will give the side a much-needed boost going into their next fixture Scarborough Town as they look to stay of relegation.
