A Course Of Cookery Demos For Healthy Eating

Personal trainer and Food Coach, Anita Norman is running a series of workshops designed to tap into the healthy lifestyle with quick and easy, tasty and delicious meals and snacks.

The four-weekly course takes place at the Barn House in Walkington. Each week, Anita will demonstrate ideas for preparing each meal beginning with breakfast on Tuesday 13th November, lunch on 20th November, dinner on 27th November the final week on the 4th December being healthy snacks.

Niki Clappison, owner of the Barn House explains:

“We have separated it out to give more detail on each mealtime. Plus it gives the chance to try the meals out at home in the days between and feedback or ask questions the following week.”

“This course specifically looks at how to stay in control of what we eat over the Christmas period. We all eat more during the festivities so as well as everyday meal options, Anita has developed some Christmas themed recipes which can be served up at parties and also options for the Christmas dinner.”

“We want to show that even sweet treats can be healthy and Anita also has her own range of gluten free cakes, desserts and sweet canapés that will really tempt the taste buds. The final week will also discuss working out and how to incorporate simple yet effective exercises into our daily routine.”

For the first cookery demo on 13 Nov, Anita Norman will be demonstrating healthy breakfast options. Guests will get ideas for new flavour combinations and a huge variety of things to with eggs – AKA the King of Nutrition.

There are a selection of healthy pancake recipes all made with different flours and she will also discuss the many benefits of eating more protein to lose weight.
