A Quejaime Busilaina hat trick helped lift the Lord Nelson off the foot of the East Riding County League as they beat Bridlington Snooker Centre 2nds 6 – 2.
Other goals for the Lord Nelson came from Shaun Foster, who leaped to head home from a free kick and Joe Robinson scored with a good shot but the goal of the game was a screamer by Adam Clayton which left coach Terry Jackson positivity purring.
Coach Terry Jackson said:
“Adam Clayton was in a different class today; his goal capped off what I can only describe as a top performance. As a team we played well, given our league position three points were important today and to get six goals was a bonus.”
He added;
“I hope that Busilaina’s hat trick will give him a massive confidence boost, the boy can finish and is real talent. If he can carry his goal scoring form into the next game then I think we have good chance of victory.”
Next up for the Lord Nelson is a home game against Albrough United, a win and three points will again be the order of the day as the Lord Nelson look to avoid relegation.
