Beverley Town FC progressed in the East Riding Senior Cup as they beat North Cave for the second time in two weeks.
North Cave who are top of the Humber Premier League played their part in an even encounter that was settled by a single headed goal by Towns Richard Gibson.
Skipper Jonny Ricardo said after the game:
“We were quite poor today; a few of the lads were rested, but we still beat the league the leaders and remain in the competition.”
Beverley are now twenty games unbeaten and next weekend welcome Hessle Rangers to the Norwood Recreation Ground as they return to league action.
