Local’s Step Up To Firewalk Challenge To Raise Funds for Beverley’s Christmas Lights

A group of local Beverlonians have signed up to take on the Warners Health Firewalk Challenge, in order to raise funds to support this year’s Beverley Christmas Lights Switch On event, taking place on Friday 30th November that with special guest Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell appearing at Wednesday Market.

Pictured is Julian Minshall of Indicoll and also the vice chair of the Beverley & District Chamber of Trade, preparing his feet for the event. The Group includes Mark Coubrough from the Beverley Arms Hotel, Terry Lees from M&S, will walk the 20 foot long path of wood embers burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit, on Wednesday 21st November at Warners Health in Hull.

“We’re raising funds to support this year’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event, Friday 30th November. Our aim is to raise £2500 to cover the spectacular Fireworks finale, and other entertainment on the night, so walking across the hot coals for the fireworks seems a fantastic idea!”

Local people can pledge their support by contacting Julian on 07925 471 975, or by signing our sponsorship forms, which are available at Jacks in Wednesday Market, Xen Jewellery on Toll Gavel and at Streamers in North Bar Within.
