Beverley Town FC move top of the Humber Premier League with a 3 – 1 victory over Hessle Rangers at the Norwood Recreation Ground. It was not all plain sailing for Town, who despite dominating the game went a goal down to a header early in the first half.
The breakthrough finally came in the second half when substitute Rob Northern headed Town level.
Just minutes later Luke Thompson gave the home side the lead with a curling free kick from 25 yards. As Rangers pressed for an equaliser, they were caught on by Town’s forward Daniel Kingsly Jnr, who rounded the keeper to finish off Rangers with the third goal.
Beverley Town now has a gap in their fixtures after their game with Hodgsons FC next week was called off.
