Beverley School Children Show Off Their ‘Grand Designs’ To Linden Homes

Having been inspired by their visit to a construction site, children from Swinemoor Primary School have created some grand designs of their own.

A group of youngsters and teachers received a special invitation from Linden Homes to see just what goes into building a new housing development, and enjoyed a recent trip to the nearby St Nicholasgate development.

The budding builders and architects have also been taking part in their own school project of making models of houses and drawing plans, the wonderful results of which have now been unveiled.

Linden Homes technical manager Peter Crabbe, and Lee Wilson, technical project engineer at the University of Hull Business School, were invited to Swinemoor Primary to judge the creations.

Peter said: “The imagination and effort that went in to every single drawing or model was outstanding, Lee and I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the children’s work and chatting to them about the ideas that went into their models. The tough part was choosing a winner – but they were all amazing!”
