Whitestar earned another 3 points that’s kept them in 4th place in the league. The pitch looked good, but upon closer inspection it was just about playable and this became obvious once the game got under way.
The heavy ground meant this was never going to be a fast game, but Whitestar did their best and soon dominated the game with accurate passing. Two early goals from Alex Hawksley & Alex Fox put Bilton on the back foot from which they never really recovered. Whitestar settled into their game, and it was only the conditions and some good work from the Bilton Keeper who kept the score down to 3 – 0 at the break after Dan Gibson found the back of the net.
The second half produced a further 5 goals from Whitestar as Alex Fox & Dan Gibson completed their hat-tricks and with only seconds to go Matty Morgan completed the victory by calmly slotting Whitestar’s 8th past the keeper.
A great performance from Whitestar’s defence and midfield ensured the team, another clean sheet and the Keeper a clean kit. A dirty game (muddy) played in great spirit with Bilton deserving a fair play award for the attitude displayed before, during and after the game. Cheer’s lads.
