Beverley’s Wednesday Market is gearing up to showcase the best of local talent at this year’s Beverley Christmas Lights switch on ceremony, when a variety of musicians from Unsigned Live and the Longcroft School Gospel Choir take to the stage to entertain the crowds with some well-known Christmas songs.
The stage is sponsored by Quality Solicitors Lockings and will feature performances from some of the town’s brightest stars as revelers await the arrival of Olympic Champion, Luke Campbell to turn on the tree lights in Wednesday Market.
Richard Allen, Managing Partner of QualitySolicitors Lockings says:
“It’s very important for us to work with the surrounding businesses and the local community and we are very proud to be able to showcase some amazing talent from the local area and fill the town with Christmas spirit as we await the arrival of our special guest.”
Businesses in Wednesday Market are thrilled at the event. Amalia Booker, owner of Amanti says:
“It’s a really exciting night for businesses in the area as there is lots of activity. We’re expecting a huge turn out for the switch on and having live musicians taking to the stage is a great idea and something that will put Wednesday Market on the map, entertain the crowds and definitely add to the festivities.”
Laura Douse, founding member of Beverley’s Unsigned Live says:
“This is an amazing opportunity for local musicians. Beverley is well known for it’s folk and blues scene and Unsigned Live is a not for profit organisation that consists of a group of passionate musicians and promoters who work hard to get their sound heard by a live audience. There will be a festive theme and a variety of musicians to get people into the spirit of Christmas.”
Performers will take to the stage from 5.30pm on Friday 30th November on the stage sponsored by QualitySolicitors Lockings, which is located outside their office at Highgate House, Wednesday Market, Beverley.
