Hennessy Sports held a press conference ahead of the boxing show this Saturday, December 8th at the Sports Arena, Hull.
The event will see James DeGale the current European Middle champion take on Fulgencio Zúñiga for the WBC Silver title.
With just a few tickets left promoter Mick Hennessy told the press;
“This fight will be a sell out; Hull is a proper boxing town, and this will be a great show for fight fans the world over.”
On the night, a number of fighters from St Paul’s Boxing Academy will also step into the ring with Samir Mouneimne looking to continue his progress up the rankings with title eliminator against David Savage.
Samir knows he cannot underestimate his opponent saying;
“Savage has a lot of experience, but I am fighting in my own back yard, and so the crowd will be with me too.”
Other fighters from St Pauls who are fighting on the night include Zac Collins, Ricky Dudding and Nathon Smith.
Mike Bromby told HU17.net;
“This is a massive event for Hull and for St Paul’s Boxing Academy and will be great experience for our fighters.”
When asked how they managed to get a title fight to Hull he said;
“As a club we have worked really hard, we have always had top quality amateurs and our move into professional boxing has been very successful all of which have helped in getting this event to Hull.”
