Town March On With Win Over Hornsea

Beverley Town picked up where they left off in Humber Premier League after with a 2 – 0 win over Hornsea Town at Bishop Burton College.

One goal in each half from Richard Gibson and Steve Graham were enough to give town all three points.

Manager Dave Ricardo said;

“After not having a game for two weeks the Hornsea game could have been a tricky.”

“However, the side that we put out, average age of 22, were superb. The score line didn’t reflect our superiority.

“Special mention must go to Ollie Thane, who made his debut in goal at 16; he played above his years and kept a clean sheet in his very first game.”

“The performance from such a young team gives the coaching staff and myself great confidence for the rest of the season. We have a tricky game against north ferriby reserves at home next Saturday, as always your support is appreciated.”

Town return to Humber Premier League action next week as they host North Ferriby United Reserves at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
