Town Go Top With Victory Over United

Beverley Town FC look likely to end 2012 top of the Humber Premier League after beating North Ferriby United at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

In a scrappy game, Town finally broke the dead lock mid-way through the first half with a headed effort from the centre half.

Early in the second half skipper Nathan White doubled Towns’s lead with a rare header from less than ten yards out.

Gaffer Dave Ricardo made three changes, and it was sub Rob Northern that all but ended it the game as he scored Beverley’s third of the afternoon with his first touch.

Both sides scores again though it was too little too late for United while for Town, it means that can go into next week’s derby with Hodgsons FC on a high.

Should Town come away with a point it will be enough to end the year top of the table.

Final Score : Beverley Town 4 North Ferriby United 1
