Northen ‘Two’ Good For Tanners As Town Move Six Points Clear

Beverley Town FC have moved six points clear at the top of the Humber Premier League after beating Hodgsons FC 2 – 0.

On a boggy Norwood Recreation Ground, the match was an even affair until Town’s Rob Northen scored the first of his two goals heading home from a corner in the first half.

Northen doubled the his tally for the day from the spot mid-way through the second half all but ending any chance the Tanners had of getting back into the game.

The win puts clear day between Beverley Town and North Cave in the race for the championship.

Town will return to action in the new year as they travel to the McCains Sports Ground to take on Scarborough Town.
