Desired Puts On A Wedding Showcase For Local Talent

Top Beverley salon Desired gave local talent the chance to showcase their skills when they hosted a Wedding Photoshoot Open Day on Sunday.

The event provided the perfect stage for local firms to catch the eye and win over potential clients at Desired’s North Bar Within salon.

Models Gemma Lacey, Harriet Curran and Allana Ross each modelled a different dress and accessories, with make-up provided by Desired’s own Louise Shepherd and hair styled by Desired’s Hayley Uzell and Amy Brown.

Gemma and Harriet both wore dresses by Jacqueline’s of Beverley, while Allana wore her own creation. The jewellery was provided by Lucy’s Little Luxuries and Flower Style of Driffield provided a bouquet, fish bowl decoration and some unique shoes.

Louise described each model’s look.

“Gemma was wearing a beautiful lace dress by Jacqueline’s of Beverley and was made up as a bride with a modern twist. The make-up was flawless and elegant using a bold red lip, keeping the eye simple.

“Her hair was a stunning up-do using curls to keep the look soft and feminine, and the silver jewellery, hand-made by Lucy’s Little Luxuries, finished off the look perfectly.

“Harriet wore a more traditional, yet equally stunning, wedding dress which was also provided Jacqueline’s of Beverley. She had a more traditional look, keeping the make-up natural and soft, which suited her colouring perfectly.

“Her hair was a stunning up-do by Desired in more of a traditional style to suit the overall look.

“In keeping with the traditional theme, Lucy’s Little Luxuries provided gold hand-crafted jewellery with a modern edge, which completed the look perfectly.

“Allana wore a vintage baby blue dress of her own to represent a bridesmaid look and her make-up was matched perfectly to the colour and shape of the dress, while her hair was kept natural and feminine in keeping with the whole look.

“The jewellery was sparkling and feminine and was hand crafted by Lucy’s Little Luxuries.”

Photographs were taken by Tanya Walker, of Prime Photography, and Natalia Walton, of Natali Wedding Photography.

Louise continued: “Tatiana and Natalia took photographs of the three girls to showcase all elements of the look and several brides-to-be came to the shop, despite the rain, for a chat and for bridal trials.

“Customers enjoyed bucks fizz and a great day was had by all.”
