Two Beverley Food Businesses Shorlisted For REYTA Tourism Award

Nine local food businesses, including two from Beverley, Ogino, Beverley and the Tickton Grange Hotel, all members of the newly formed East Yorkshire Local Food Network (EYLFN), have been shortlisted for the forthcoming Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY).

Local food businesses feature in eight of the twelve award categories recognising excellence across the local area’s hospitality and retail scene from Remarkable Fayre to Remarkable Pub.

“This recognition is a reflection of the quality of our members and the products and services they offer” said a delighted Graham Ward, Chair of EYLFN.

“Building on the success of a CWWW LEADER funded project, we recently launched East Yorkshire Local Food Network as an independent not-for-profit company, supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s rural team, and it is thrilling that the members and directors are leading the drive for quality local food for both residents and visitors to enjoy” he added.

David Nowell, Vice Chair of EYLFN, who has been championing and serving local food for many years at Beverley Tickton Grange said “The REYTA awards are a fantastic way for local food businesses to market their excellence and I am so pleased our members have recognised that opportunity. Good luck to everyone who has made the shortlist.”
