The Beverley Tigers beat Hedon Rangers in Division 1 on the hull Boys Sunday Football League.
Going into the match the Tigers needed a win to help them pull away from the bottom clubs, they delivered with fine 2 – 1 win at Longcroft School.
Next weekend, the teams will meet again, should the Tigers repeat this result they could conceivably climb to thrid in the table.
